Africa is a continent in crisis! It is underdeveloped, poor and in the grip of widespread corruption and crime. The continent hosts only 12.9% of the world’s population, but 71% of the world’s HIV and AIDS victims live in Africa. Approximately 7000 die daily of AIDS related diseases.As the Church in Africa expands, teaches and exemplifies Biblical truths, values and principles, it will positively impact and reshape the way people think. We believe that the Church is the institution with the greatest potential for impacting people’s World View, and resultantly the way they think. As people perceive Biblical values and Truth, a process of change will be initiated that will ultimately lead to conformity to the image of Christ Incarnate…and thus bring HOPE to communities and nations.AFnet envisions the strategic mobilization of the entire Body of Christ (The Church) in Africa – nation by nation – working together, to see Christ Incarnate in every segment of society and in every place. Then we can say: “The knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth as waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk. 2:14).
STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION: AFnet seeks to implement this vision through a three-fold strategy: (1) Saturation Church Planting and Strategic Mobilization of the Church; (2) Leadership Formation and Pastoral Training; and (3) Compassionate Outreach and Community Development. |
