AFnet is a ministry, focused on Leadership Training, Strategic Church Planting and AIDS-Orphan Relief.
"In 1984 the Lord gave me a vision. He challenged me to form and be a part of a network of strategic partnerships and ministry alliances, through which we could more effectively communicate and model the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to the people of Africa. Since then our paradigm and understanding of that original vision has grown, and periodically adjusted as we ourselves have grown in our understanding of both the Message and the Context of our work in Africa.
By 2001 I had become convinced that God’s mandate to the Church implied more than salvation. Christ modeled His “Kingdom Gospel” through a three-fold focus. He proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom. He taught the principles of that Kingdom. And He had compassion on the needy… Feeding the hungry, reaching out to children - and mandating “care for the least of these”, healing the diseased and oppressed, and pointing out that care for orphans and widows, together with the evangelistic mandate, lies at the core of Christ’s Kingdom demands.
AFnet Inc. was originally set up as a religious non-profit with the aim of training African Leadership and expanding the Christian cause in Africa through strategic church planting efforts across many countries. However, in time it became evident to us that apart from the specific Christian cause there also is a desperate cry for Humanitarian Aid all across Africa. And so, AFnetAid was formed in 2001 as a third strategic arm of AFnet Inc., but with a non-sectarian agenda. The aim of AFnetAid is humanitarian, and with a focus on Community Development and AIDS relief, more specifically focusing on the needs of AIDS Orphans in Africa.
During the last twenty years we have joined hands over ministry, denominational and tribal boundaries in an effort to see Africa saved. And today this vision of AFnet is being realized.
But many Africans still live without hope. They need our help and your support. Therefore, I encourage you to partner with us that together we may find on going redemptive solutions to both the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Africa." - Johan Combrinck (Founder - President)
