Newsflash

On November 7, 2011, Afnet President Johan Combrinck and board member Mark Brading, along with 20 other golfers, will be risking exhaustion, frostbite, and a possible coronary by playing 100 holes of golf in one day! Why such a crazy goal? To raise much needed funds for our programs at AFnet and AFnetAid. It's going to be a fun day - won't you join us? Keeping up with Johan and Christa

“The best form of literature, next to the Bible, is Christian and Missionary biographies”.

This was the opening statement with which Dr. Christy Wilson started all his freshman classes at seminary. Of course, we all wondered why he would choose such a strange statement to introduce us to the field of missions, and what could be so significant about Christian biographies! With that, Dr. Wilson of course immediately prescribed that each one read through, and report back on a set number of biographies read at the end of each semester of classes taken with him.

Reaching all of Africa - July 2010

Dear Friend,

“So, how exactly do you propose reaching all of Africa with the gospel?” This cynical remark by a colleague recently, got my attention, and forced me to rethink our oft-stated goal: “Seeing the Nations of Africa Discipled in our generation.” And so, in reevaluating our focus and strategy over the years, I just could not help but feel confident that AFnet has been on the right track all along! I remain convinced more than ever that Reaching and Transforming Africa is possible only through the Church.
